When Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse hit cinemas there was an electricity in the air about how different it was, how well crafted each frame appeared to be. It dripped with a fresh energy, a fresh voice in both its unabashed themes, ready to give a new generation a new hero to aspire to be. Even my nephew wanted to be Miles Morales.

But more than just how great the feature was, its slew of technological developments far surpassed previous work, even aspect of animation was brought into question. Now, over a year later, it helped open a door for the teeming world of animation, ready to display what else it can do. So this video is a compass trying to track the future of animation, at least where I think the trajectory is aiming for.
