I had a large empty wall just begging for improvement at the top of my stairs. I had recently completed a small bathroom niche (    • Installing a Bathroom Wall Niche - Pi...   ) and ended up loving it. So, the obvious answer was to create a newer, bigger, better niche in this empty wall! (obviously!)

To be very clear, I have a single previous experience building a wall niche (link in previous paragraph). I relied on YouTube training and luck :)

Here is the process condensed into a 7 minute timelapse. **It took a heck of a lot longer than 7 minutes!!
