Jackie Higgins, wildlife documentary director and author of the book "Sentient: What Animals Reveal About Our Senses" in conversation with Samara Rubinstein (BIOTOPIA), exploring numerous marvels and extraordinary stories of the sentient world in zoology. They are holding up a mirror to better understand what we can learn from animals and how we humans relate to them. Jackie Higgins has always been fascinated by the natural world. She is also a television documentary director and the author of three books on photography.

The BIOTOPIA festival "SENSE - the Power of Perception" by BIOTOPIA - Naturkundemuseum Bayern explored the sensory world on 1 and 2 October 2022 at Schloss Nymphenburg (Hubertussaal), Botanical Garden Munich, Museum Mensch und Natur and the BIOTOPIA Lab! At the interface of bio- and neuroscience, art and design, the festival allowed visitors to experience the world of perception.
