गट्टे की सब्जी | Besan ke gatte ki sabji | Gatte ki sabji ki recipe in hindi

Ingredients -
For dough
Besan
Turmeric powder
Red chilli powder
Meat masala
Dhaniya powder
Cumin seeds
Salt
Oil
Water

For gravy:
Oil
Dry red chilli
Cumin seeds
Bay leaf
Garam masala

Chopped onion, capsicum and tomatoes
Kasuri methi

First, I took 2 cups of gram flour in a bowl and added the spices, one teaspoon of salt, one tablespoon of oil, and a little water. After mixing it with a spatula, I kneaded it into a soft dough. I added only a small amount of water, as we need a dough. Next, I made small balls from the dough and rolled them into long shapes with my hands.

Meanwhile, I had some water heating on the stove, and added the gram flour rolls to it and cooked them for at least 3-4 minutes. After boiling,I strained them. Then, I carefully cut them into small, equal-sized pieces.

In a pan, I heated some oil and added whole spices—red chili, cumin seeds, bay leaf, and a pinch of asafoetida (*hing*). Then I added chopped onions, capsicum, and tomatoes, along with kasuri methi (dried fenugreek), salt, and fried everything until golden. After that, I added ginger-garlic paste and more spices and fried them again, adjusting the water as needed. Once the oil separates, I’ll add some more water—I'm using the same water in which we boiled the *gatte*.

While the gravy is cooking, I fried the gatte pieces in another pan until they were golden. After that,I added them to the gravy, garnish with coriander, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
