Niro Nirmalan leads digital and AI transformation at NatWest Group’s retail banking division. He has over two decades of experience in data and technology across various industries. His journey has seen him at the vanguard of several technological revolutions, from the advent of the internet/ eCommerce, to the rise of mobile technology, cloud computing, and now, artificial intelligence.

In his present role, Niro also heads up the retail bank’s Human-Centred Design Centre of Expertise and is an ardent advocate for the indispensable role of human creativity and discernment in the deployment of AI solutions. His leadership ethos centres around fostering a collaborative environment where both human expertise and AI capabilities are intertwined to elevate the modern workplace.
