We recently set out to explore the vibrant flavors of Tikonia Park in Jamia Nagar, with our teammate Harshit accompanying us. The area is known for its rich food scene, though some of the offerings come at a higher price point. Our first stop was Alig's Cafe, popular among students for its pocket-friendly menu. We enjoyed a light meal of Kulhad chai, Bun omelette and Anda paratha. This simple yet satisfying flavours is perfect for light hunger

On our way to the next destination, we couldn’t resist stopping at Salam Bhai Rotiwale, captivated by the sight of freshly baked roti emerging from the oven. They supply these rotis to eateries near and far, and watching the process was an experience in itself.

Next, we visited Magadhi Buds, where we indulged in their Bihari Kebab and Seekh Kebab. The kebabs were perfectly spiced and tender, rich in flavor. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the female owner, whose passion for Bihari non-vegetarian dishes was evident. She shared stories about her dedication to preserving these traditional flavors, which made the meal feel even more special.

Our next stop was at Al Nihar. We were here to try their newly introduced Classic Chicken Cheese Burger. The smashed burger was juicy, flavorful, and well worth the money. It was a great break from the traditional dishes we had been sampling, offering a modern twist in a place known for its timeless classics.

We then found ourselves at Ballimaran Nihari, a spot we’ve been drawn to many times before. This time we were there not for their namesake dish, but for their Non-Veg Combo, which was an absolute bargain at just 99 rupees. The combo was filling and flavorful, showcasing the heartiness of their offerings, and a great value for anyone looking for a satisfying meal on a budget.

Our final stop was a familiar favorite. Zahara restaurants biryani is one of the best in the capital hence this time we tried the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani. As always, the taste didn’t disappoint. The fragrant, long-grain rice, perfectly layered with tender, juicy chicken and rich, aromatic spices, brought out the depth of flavors we’ve come to expect. Every bite was a reminder of why this spot holds such a high reputation among biryani lovers.

This exploration of Tikonia Park wasn’t just about trying new dishes—it was a journey through familiar flavors and hidden gems, each stop adding something unique to our experience.
