When Texas Pride began servicing the City of Alvin three years back, they purchased a few of these “blacked-out” trucks without the signature white cab and stripe on the side. Now that these get used in many places besides just Alvin, I was lucky enough to catch one in an unincorporated part of southeast Houston I’ve had my eye on.

The former local company, Eco Waste & Recycling, was around until they suddenly kinda disappeared. Never really got the whole scoop on what happened to them, but I believe after Hurricane Harvey shattered their operations, they went bankrupt/had to sell. All that remains are Eco’s carts, left to continue becoming discolored by bleaching in the sun. Either way, it made for a unique video since not many areas in Houston still have as many as shown here!
