Starting a business is an exciting time and can be a real buzz. Unfortunately that early motivation can soon fade, especially when business begins to slow down.
With a severe lack of customers and therefore lack of money coming in it is not long before any business owner will begin to question their business.

Many people say at this point to "keep positive", "work twice as hard", however personally I disagree with this!

In my opinion that is the road that leads to burn out, that is the road that leads to you become frustrated with your business and throwing in the towel early.

I have seen many friends experience this as well as my self a few years back. Just blindly declaring positive things about your business and telling everyone that you business is stronger than ever is not going to solve the problem.

When business is slow you need to step back, come away from the computer, come out from behind the desk. Go get some fresh air, exercise, go swimming, go for a long walk or like me, go play some golf.

This time away gives you space to de-stress and come up with solutions to your problems more easily.

Not if, but when you experience a lack of business or just a slow business, try walking away and having some fun for a day and see where it leads.
