In today’s video, DIY Truck Camper Build #4, my Dad and I attempt to install a Gordon Glass Accordion Boot Seal between the removed windows of my 2010 Ford F150 and the Snugtop topper we have installed in the truck bed.

The plan is create a pass through or crawl through with this accordion gasket which should provide a water tight truck camper window seal between truck and truck bed topper. The pass though window should allow me to easily and quickly get from the topper area to the cab of the truck, in case of emergency, without the need to jump out of the truck via the tailgate and walk around to the driver’s door.

The pass through window isn’t a necessity for a truck build, but I personally do a lot of urban camping on the streets of Houston, while visiting with friends and family. When you’re spending a month or two in the city, it could get awkward having to try to slip in and out of the tailgate without being noticed. With the accordion boot seal, I will now be able to climb through the window when I wake up in the morning and just drive off without attracting attention.
