We want to have off-grid Internet and WiFi in our campervan so that's what we'll be setting up in this video! We're using the Teltonika RUTX11 4G router and pairing it with an external antenna on the roof, the Poynting Mimo 3.

The available mobile 4G signal in rural locations can be quite limited, so adding the Poynting external annenna should give us a much better chance of picking up a signal when we're in rural remote locations, like by a mountain or lake (obviously sometimes it's nice to switch off in those locations too, though!)

We did consider Starlink, but decided it was too expensive for now. But also our 4G router setup gives us a lot of additional features, like GPS, so we can track the van for free as well!
