In this video we're installing our Victron Phoenix 1200VA Inverter and 230V sockets in our campervan!

We have three 230V sockets in the van that we want to hardwire into an inverter, and we also want a consumer unit with an RCD and MCB to give us some safety.

We compared the Victron 1000W inverter with a Renogy inverter and decided to go with the Victron as it was better suited for the earthing required for an RCD to function.

There are lots of choices when it comes to campervan inverters, consumer units, RCDs and MCBs so there was a lot to consider. The actual wiring of the inverter and all the sockets was fairly straightforward after that. We also wired in the remaining 12V sockets we have in the van that we plug USB chargers into.

Now we can power anything we need when we're on the road!
