Blue Period's artmaking visual metaphors are exquisite — what a way to portray that moment when the artist is immersed in their art!

In this Worldbuilding Tower episode we'll analyze this show's style of visual allegory, comparing the more technique-focused scenes with the more purpose-focused ones, both in visuals and text.

Evidently I do not own Blue Period. The original manga was written and illustrated by Tsubasa Yamaguchi and the anime version was adapted by Seven Arcs.

Competition rules:

(some of the things I'm writing here are very lawyer-focused, bear with me)

Two competitions will be held at the same time — one here on Youtube and another on my Patreon page. They share the same rules, the only difference between them is where you post your entry. Each has its own judging process and possible prizes.

To join the competition, you must do and post the exercise explained and exemplifyied during the video. You must write an original, authoral and new scene, following the described steps, and post them either on Youtube or Patreon before July 28th 2022 at midnight CET.
Here on youtube, your entry should be posted in the comments section of this video here, the one you're watching.
On Patreon, you should find the appointed post exploring this same Blue Period video.
Entries and prizes are individual. If you write an entry collaboratively you can still participate, but you must appoint one writer as the representant of your collaboration group and only that writer might receive a prize.

The winning criteria is whichever entry make me (Joriam Ramos, the host and judge) experience the most emotion, so I will evaluate each emotional reaction I have to each entry in a scale from 1 to 100 based on bodily reaction.
The two winners will be revealed the 4th of August 2022 CET.

If you win the competition, you'll receive instructions on how to safely contact me. This contact will include a recorded video message from me to you mentioning your username, so that you know it's really me contacting you (for safety reasons).
You'll only be able to receive your prize (provided by Diamond) if you're willing to provide a valid postal address. We cannot 100% guarantee you'll receive a prize.

I hope to see your entries soon!
