This video is the first in a short series on how to read brain CT, aimed mainly at medical students and young radiology residents with little neuroradiological experience (but everyone is welcome to watch off course). In this video we discuss the basic principles of how a CT image is created and basic concepts of CT interpretation, like density, Hounsfield-Units, windowing and artifacts.

0:00 - Topics
1:15 - How is a CT image made?
7:51 - What is the Hounsfield scale?

13:34 - What is windowing?
