Social Media and the Internet are incredibly new to our society. It is obvious that there are unbelievable benefits to these new technologies and that they are here to stay. But at the same time social media is causing unbelievably negative consequences on our society at large. Because these platforms are so new, there is very little study or understanding of all the negative effects. In the future there will be courses and trainings on how to properly behave with social media, but now as the pioneers of these new platforms we have to train ourselves to use them responsibly and not be used by them. In this video I explore some of the more subtle effects of social media on the brain. Enjoy!
