Australian Strength and Conditioning Association classified speed into 5 sub-qualities
1.Maximum speed
2.Acceleration
3.Change of direction
4.Reaction/agility
5.Speed-endurance

In badminton, maximum speed drills are less important because you'll never reach maximum speed due to the short length of the court. Therefore, we will focus on improving our acceleration, change of direction, and agility sub-quality.
