Do you tape off the back of your canvases before you do a paint pour? Let me show you why you should (and how to do it!)

Here’s the tape I’m using: https://bit.ly/3iSrKsC (affiliate link)

Everyone knows that acrylic pouring is messy. Paint gets everywhere, including the back edge of your canvas! But if you apply some painter’s tape to the back edge, you can create a much cleaner area, giving space for signing your work and making a much more professional finish.

Taping your canvas also prevents the canvas edges from warping away from the wooden frame!

If you want to create an extra-good seal with your tape, try warming it with a hair dryer and rubbing it firmly, or painting over the tape transition with white paint.
