Giving Light Grey a go as the background for this blossom painting. Always tricky not using a white base for these delicate balloon smash florals as the base colour becomes part of the blossoms. Love how this one dried! In hindsight, I would have added way WAY more of the customized pearl pink or added it to the canvas BEFORE the Primary Magenta. Will be doing a lot more blossom paintings as spring approaches😍🌸🎶
*Paints:
Amsterdam - Permanent Magenta, Light Gold
Customized Pearl Pink - (Amsterdam) Primary Magenta + (Liquitex) Iridescent White
Customized Light Grey - (Amsterdam) Titanaium White + (Amsterdam)
Oxide Black
*Pouring Medium:
For colours: 60% Clear PVA Glue, 30% Water, 10% US Floetrol
Ratio: 1 part paint to 2 parts medium (plus water to thin consistency)
(e.g. 10g paint, 20g medium)
For base paint: 70% Clear PVA Glue, 30% Water
45% paint + 55% medium
*Canvas size: 27.3 x 22.0cm (around 10.7 x 8.7 inches)
