in this video How to get a good finish with white pine. I show you how to get a good finish on a pine project using three products and three accessories. How to get a good finish with white pine is video showing how I achieved a beautiful finish on applying project and the stuff that I take to achieve this beautiful finish. in this video How to get a good finish with white pine I start with sanding to a 120 grit sandpaper and follow that up with a tack cloth to remove all of the dust particles and microfibers from the surfaces for a beautiful finish. once I've removed all the dust particles I can apply the pre stain. The pre-stain is used to prevent or to help prevent blotchiness what applying the colored stain to the project. I apply this pre stain liberally because pine especially this white pine is very porous and absorbs at a higher rate than most woods. it's thirsty wood. once I've applied the pre stain and let it soak in for a few minutes I wipe off the excess. The manufacturer suggests that you apply the color stain within 2 hours of applying the pre-stain for a beautiful finish. How to get a good finish with white pine shows you how to step by step get the finish that you desire. now after a few minutes I apply the color stain to the project I'm using a paintbrush for this application but you can use a rag or cloth as well, I do both. I make sure that I have really good coverage with the color stain because I want to make this a dark piece I let it sit overnight the recommend time before wiping is 15 minutes. once I let it dry overnight I wipe it down to remove any excess because I put a heavy coat on. and once it's thoroughly dry I can apply the wipe on polyurethane. I do this using circular strokes and then follow up with long strokes following the grain for a beautiful finish. I applied two coats of the wipe on polyurethane before I start to sand between coats. I'll finish this project up with several coats maybe five to seven coats. then I will do a polishing possibly using paper sack material for a unified finish. thanks for watching the video. if you haven't subscribed please consider subscribing to the channel and hit the like button.
