This Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle is close to exactly what I was searching for in a new kettle. This electric kettle- http://amzn.to/1RWynPA is made (mostly) of glass, is cordless, shuts off automatically when it boils, brings 500ml of water to a boil in 2 and a half minutes, and has the coolest blue lights! Well, the blue lights on this Hamilton Beach kettle are more of a bonus feature. : )
