LaGrange Railfanning: Morning to Evening

For the first time, our camera crew at A-Train4014 Productions decided to film trains on the BNSF Racetrack from morning to evening in LaGrange, IL. The weather wasn’t the best but our crew were prepared to get wet and cold as the temperature dropped around lunch time. While we were there, we were put to work right away as we arrived out trackside just as the morning rush hour was beginning. The action remained pretty consistent for most of the day and into the evening totaling over 75 trains. We were forced to cut a few Metra trains on camera based on the footage that we received on our cameras in post production. Overall, it was fun filming trains from morning to evening. One lesson that we’re taking in consideration is to do it again in the summer rather than the fall. Our next trip out trackside is at Lake Forest, IL on the CP C&M Subdivision in attempt to catch a few trains in fall colors.
