My name is “Wingit” and I am attempting an Appalachian Trail 2024 Thru Hike - without much of a plan, in fact, I am Winging it along the way. Here is another day I am grateful to share with everyone.

The highs and lows of life on the Appalachian Trail. My friend Papa Smurf got news that he lost a family friend and mentor back at home. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family/friends during a difficult time.

Great hike today into Glasgow, VA that culminated in us jumping into the James River from the James River Foot Bridge. In typical Wingit fashion, I walked right past the Bridge itself; how is it even possible to walk past a ginormous bridge? Not sure, but I managed to do it.

Finished the day uploading videos at Stanimals Hostel in Glasgow and back on trail the following morning.
