Candid footage of the opening dedication (possibly March 31 or April 1) 1967 of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This candid footage was directed and produced by famed country music tv producer/ biographer Chet Hagan. I don't know if this footage is copyrighted, but I will delete it if requested by owners. I edited it down to seven minutes as much of the footage was pretty much the same and tried to keep in all the country stars there (apparently most attendees were from Nashville society) - Minnie Pearl, Eddy Arnold, Hank Williams Jr, Webb Pierce, Jim Glaser, John Loudermilk, Wesley Rose, Little Jimmy Dickens, Tom T. Hall, Owen Bradley, alas I did accidentally clip Faron Young out. If you spot other stars and industry names in the footage please note it in a post. I think at one point Tompall Glaser - or is it Leroy Van Dyke - is seen in profile in conversation. Wonderful to see the old wall of one-color photos of 60 classic acts, the photos of which lit up when a snippet of one of their most famous songs played (you can see Patsy Cline's light up at one point.) For the soundtrack to this silent film I added:
1. "Mule Skinner Blues" Benny Martin (greatest country fiddler ever IMO)
2. "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" Maybelle Carter and daughters
3. "O' Come, Angel Band" Skeeter Davis
