I live a dual lifestyle, with a rural old traditional house at my hometown and a home in Tokyo. It takes about 2 hours by car to get from Tokyo to my hometown. Living here can be challenging, with the fluctuating weather, from hot to cold, rain and insects. It's an inconvenient way of life. However, amidst the challenges, I have encountered the forgotten beauty of the surroundings, such as the vibrant greenery drenched by the rain, the melodious songs of birds, the illumination escaping through the shoji screens, and other enchanting sights. It's as if I have stumbled upon a surreal word called "atmosphere" that is vastly different from modern life.

Now, let's take a moment to reflect on the beginning and the journey of our vegetable garden. Initially, the vegetables were obedient, but gradually they have taken the lead. Please allow me to share their story.

I hope that next year I will be able to proudly present my abundant harvest of tomatoes.

This is a Japanese traditional house built about 85-90 years ago. Currently, it is unoccupied. However, I visit every week to clean the house and mow the grass in the garden. There is a lot of housework to be done, but I enjoy doing it!
