Super Street Fighter II is the property of Capcom

Hey guys, back again with another VGM cover. Once again I have picked a theme from Super Street Fighter II. This time I picked Fei Long’s theme. It’s one of my favourite themes from the game and so I chose to cover this song.

There were a few changes to the arrangement I made, mainly cutting down the taiko drums to certain sections of the song rather than being played constantly like in the original. I did this to create some dynamics in the cover. In other parts of the song I have the toms replicate the taiko drums to compensate. When I played the bass on this cover I copied what notes the guitar was playing on some sections. Originally I wanted to apply the slap bass and finger plucking technique to the bass part but didn’t have the stamina to maintain a tight and clean performance via finger plucking, so in the end I resorted to using a pick as always lol. In the second repetition of the theme I have a Dizi flute play the main melody for some variation. Overall I’m very happy with the final rendition.
