Our next challenge is to make the complete fuel system operational. Several people suggested that I just connect an external fuel tank to the car for the initial start-up, but the fuel tank needs to be handled eventually, and I decided that there was no better time than the present.

The trick here was to clean out the fuel tank while preserving the originality - and in MY mind, that meant leaving the tank in the car.

I'm very happy to report that we had great success here! The tank is now just about spotless inside, and very little was disturbed in the process. Take a look at how we did it, and what tools and products we used - it should work on your E-Type as well!
