Rob Kajiwara is an Okinawan musician, activist, and scholar based in Okinawa City. He is founder and president of the Peace For Okinawa Coalition, dedicated to promoting Luchu / Okinawan culture, history, languages, and rights. In 2018 - 19 Kajiwara petitioned to stop the illegal construction of the U.S. military base at Henoko, Okinawa receiving over 212,000 signatures.
