Alice In Chains had just returned from 1993 tour promoting their seminal album Dirt. Finding out they were homeless, upon their return to Seattle, the band members decided to stay in a recording studio they had previously rented for 10 days, while they sorted things out. The material they recorded in those 10 days eventually became Jar Of Flies, one of the records of the 90s and one of the best Alice In Chains ever made. The record is filled with iconic melodies and some of the best lyrics ever penned by Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley, and all of this is what we'll talk about in this video.
