I have been on the rode for about two months now. And although I do love it I was missing home and wanted to start making my way back for a little (I have a new bike waiting for me, which has really been making me want to go 🤓) I was going to make my way back on Monday but found out that Trestle Bike park out in Winter Park Colorado was opening this weekend. I quickly became torn!!! I was going to have to spend a week solo until I was able to see friends to ride at the bike park. I knew the only way that I would survive this was if I kept busy. And on day one I really doubted even being able too. I made sure to ride my bike, get van things done, fish, and challenged myself to a crazy hike. I have had many friends talk about this hike but I never really put much thought into it. I did not know what to expect and I for sure under estimated it. What made this harder for me was the 95 degree weather and altitude! If you are planning to do this hike definitely bring more water than you think, comfortable shoes, a hat, and a good positive attitude. I am excited for try more hikes during my travels. And I am very excited that I made it to Trestle bike park. Although I think It did learn something very valuable. I truly don't think I will chase the opening days for bike parks they usually have just hand full of trails open so I don't get to ride the entire mountain. I had an absolute blast and of course I am still glad I got to ride bikes and see friends. I will for sure be trying to go again this summer!!

Thank you for watching and hope to catch you at a mountain near you.
