This compilation of nature clips comes from two different films by Dick and Ada Bird, A Prairie Ramble (Film R-2421) and Camera Trails (Film R-2420) showcasing flora and fauna filmed on the Canadian prairies in the 1940s and/or 1950s.

The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan has in its collection records created, accumulated and used by Dick and Ada Bird of Regina, Saskatchewan during the course of their careers in the cinematography field, their travels worldwide and their lecture tours throughout Canada and the United States.
