This animation shows the cutaway operation of a Linear Motor Reciprocating Compressor (LMRC) developed by Libertine together with SouthWest Research Institute and ACI Services during 2018-2022, supported by DoE funding. The LMRC incorporates a hermetically sealed, oil-free linear motor and enables more efficient compression of H2 for high pressure vehicle refuelling applications up to 700 bar.
