Bosnia is an important location for refugees seeking safety in Europe. The country shares a border with the European Union, and there is constant movement of families through the region fleeing the dangers of conflict at home.

Our Welcome Notes program works with asylum centers in the region to bring music activities to families and youth and provide moments of joy and healing to those facing the stress and danger of displacement. This year one of our workshops was visited by Eduard Nazarski, former head of Amnesty International Netherlands

In this interview Eduard spoke to Suzana Đorđević, Project Manager of our Welcome Notes Bosnia and Herzegovina program. He told gave us his informed perspective about the refugee situation in Europe, how European nations are becoming less hospitable for asylum-seekers, and the joy he witnessed when visiting our workshop.
