US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reaffirmed Washington's commitment to supporting ASEAN centrality during the ASEAN-US Summit on Friday.

Blinken said the deepening conflict in Myanmar, North Korea, and the Russia-Ukraine war violated core principles of both the United Nations and ASEAN's Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

Blinken also reiterated the nation's stance on supporting freedom of navigation and overflight in the Indo-Pacific and stressed the importance of maintaining stability in the Taiwan Strait.

The summit, which brought together ASEAN leaders and top US officials, was part of broader regional talks to enhance bilateral cooperation and address geopolitical tensions affecting Southeast Asia.
