เขตแห้งแล้งหรือ Dry Zone คลี่คลุมตลอดที่ราบภาคกลางของเมียนมาร์ ซึ่งโอบล้อมด้วยภูเขาทางทิศตะวันออกและทิศตะวันตก กินพื้นที่บางส่วนของมัณฑะเลย์ มาเกว และสะกาย ครอบคลุมพื้นที่มากกว่า 75,000 ตารางกิโลเมตร และคิดเป็น 13% ของพื้นที่ดินของประเทศ ชาวเมียนมาที่นี่มีน้ำเสมือนทองคำที่พวกเขาหวงแหน และในทริปนี้ พวกเราจะบุกถึงแหล่งทองคำที่หาได้ยากยิ่งของพวกเขา

- SOURCES OF TREASURE IN THE YENANGYAUNG DRY ZONE
It's commonly understood that Myanmar is a land abundant with resources, especially in reference to images of its forests, its gold resources, and its four main rivers. And yet, over ten million people of Myanmar’s total population of 54 million reside in a zone where “dry spells” are frequent.

The Dry Zone of central Myanmar is surrounded by mountains to the east and west…and covers townships spanning from the regions of Magway and Sagaing, to parts of Mandalay region. The Dry Zone forms 13% of the country…and covers over 75,000 square kilometers. For this particular population of Myanmar, water can be likened to “a golden treasure”. On this trip, we journey into “the heart of the hot zone” to explore their sources of “metaphorical gold”.
