Learn how to make delicious and traditional steamed modak at home with this easy-to-follow recipe! Modak, a sweet dumpling made with wheat flour dough and a coconut-jaggery filling, is a favorite during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Follow along as we guide you step-by-step to create these delectable treats.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp ghee
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup fresh grated coconut
- 1 cup grated jaggery/jaggery powder
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- A pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Dough:
- 1 bowl wheat flour, pinch of salt and water mix properly and make tight dough.

2. Make the Filling:
- In a pan add grated coconut.
- Add grated jaggery and cook until it melts and combines well with the coconut.
- Add cardamom powder and nutmeg (if using), and mix well. Allow it to cool.

3. Shape the Modaks:
- Take a small portion of dough and shape it into a ball.
- make small chapati
- Place a ball of the coconut-jaggery filling in the center.
- Gather the edges and pinch to seal, forming a peak at the top.

4. Steam the Modaks:
- Place the modaks on a greased stainer.
- Steam in a steamer or in boiling water keep stainer in it.

5. Serve:
- Put ghee on top of hot modak.
- Let the modaks cool slightly before serving.
