Montana hunting ranches for sale offers up the Yellowstone Boulder Divide Ranch just a short distance south of Big Timber, Montana.

The ranch is situated on approximately two sections of land and borders a section of State land and several other large ranches. This location, plus the three springs and treed draws on the property make for superb wildlife habitat.

Several elk are harvested on the property each year and there are black bear, mountain lion, grouse, sharptails and huns on the property as well. The property also has nice populations of mule deer, some antelope, eagles, foxes and the regular cast of Montana wildlife.

The property has two homes, a beautiful Candice Miller designed main home that is a 1,226 square foot structure with an open concept floor plan and vaulted living room with a stacked stone chimney. There is both a master suite on the main level and a guest room with office upstairs.

The 1,680 square foot guest house contains 4 bedrooms and has a vaulted ceiling with interconnected living, dining and kitchen. Both homes have exterior decks that afford views of the Crazy mountains, Bangtail's and Bridger's.

This hunting ranch in Montana is a little over one hour away from Bozeman which has Montana's busiest airport Yellowstone International and Montana State University. Bozeman is also home to Bridger Bowl ski area and Big Sky Resort is about one hour south of Bozeman in the Gallatin Canyon.

Montana's largest city, Billings, is about 90 minutes to the east of the ranch. Billings offers the largest medical complex in the State and serves as a regional shopping and cultural center.

The town of Big Timber, Montana is just 25 minutes from the ranch and offers a host of dining and dining options.

For fisherman there are multiple great streams and rivers nearby including the Yellowstone River, which is the longest free flowing river in the continental United States, along with the Boulder River and Big Timber creek.

Yellowstone National Park is about a 2 hour drive to the north entrance in Gardiner and about the same distance to get to the northeast entrance in Cooke City which brings you over the legendary Beartooth Pass. Journalist Charles Kuralt called the Beartooth Pass the most scenic highway in America.

One of the ranches greatest assets is the year round water in the several treed draws that exist on the south, west and east portions of the ranch.
