While pulling out of my parking garage at work I spilled it on the 98 Honda Shadow VT1100c. Luckily I had the drop bars because not only did they save the cruiser from severe damage but they saved my leg from the 600 pounds of metal. I did sprain my leg in a couple of places for a week or so after but everything turned out alright and it became a great learning experience for me. Right after this happened I dove into trying to figure out what went wrong which inspired me to spend several hours practicing learning techniques and I completed the MSF safety course. The culprit turned out to be a couple of things. The first culprit was slippery tires due to oiling the front bearing with WD-40 which created a puddle under the front tire and caused a slippery surface. The second thing was the fact that my rear tire PSI was only 20 psi. Turns out these things along with not slowing down and using the friction zone on turns will lead to an embarrassing slide on your side. It's good to go back and learn what went wrong in order to make improvements! Thanks for watching. Subscribe for many more to come!
