It's autumn, The Wandering Shepherds are back from vacation, the weather has turned cold, the sheep are feeling frisky, Arnie is working on machinery retrofits, and the leaves are changing. Things are basically quiet at Ewetopia Farms at this time of year. It is all about feeding and monitoring sheep health, getting farm equipment both ready for the upcoming grain harvests of soybeans and corn as well as repairing, cleaning and working on other equipment that needs to be put away for the winter. And, it is always about taking that extra bit of time to give a few chin scratches to the sheep! Things get busy as we get the last of the ewe lambs sheared. Too bad it didn't happen earlier, but things like that are out of our control.
