The New Balance Minimus TR V2 has been an interesting cross-training shoe that I've developed a love-hate relationship with.
Going into this shoe I was desperately hoping this model would be similar to the old school Minimus models, but alas, it's far from it. This isn't a bad shoe for training — it's just a lot different than what I think a lot of us have come to love with New Balance.

At the end of the day, I like the Minimus TR V2, but there are some glaring issues with this model's construction.
For example, I don't understand why there's so much exposed stitching around the toe box. Also, the "wide" isn't really that wide.
For general lifting, CrossFit, and cross-training, if you're debating this model, they'll work — just note they're no longer a zero-drop shoe and they don't feel like the old models.
