There is nowhere else on this planet that holds Lahontan Cutthroat Trout in the size and quantity the Pyramid hosts. Whether you are fly fishing or utilizing conventional tackle, shoreline fishermen have been landing monsters from their ladders. Yes, this is ladder country. The lakes shoreline is mostly sandy beaches with occasional Tufa clusters and rocky points. Most of the beaches have long gradual flats that drop in to one of two troughs. Cutthroat Trout cruise along the drop offs ambushing prey. By walking a short ladder to the end of the flat and positioning it to bring advantage in keeping your presentation in the feeding zone.
