In this video I show you how to light a fire in your SmokerBuilder Super55 Drum Smoker!
Important things to note:
• Top lighting the charcoal basket will yield the best flavor and most consistent results.
• Wood isn't required for getting great flavor however if you do use wood, be sure to use 1 to 3 broom stick size splits approx 6" to 9" long.
• Only open 1 of the intakes approx ½ open. Both intakes are not required. Open them slowly if higher temperatures are desired.
• With the new style baffle plate (the one with the bendable tabs) only open the outside ring of tabs approx ½". If higher temps are desired (above 325) open the inside ones ¼".
