Pain keeps you alive. Don't fear it. Pain is part of life and we NEED to embrace it. I have broken my foot whilst racing, fell and bled, gone through Jones fracture, cartilage issues, heel spur, plantar fasciitis and undergone fibroids surgery. As icing on my colourful pain-cake, I am allergic to painkillers. The pain did drive me insane. But in that insanity, I told myself just one thing... that it is only physical pain. 80 percent of the pain is in the mind. Embrace it and that 80 percent WILL leave you. The balance of 20 percent will heal and you will be good to go. If you wait for the pain to go away, you will miss out on everything else in life. How does this relate to fitness? Once injured, you must never let up. Work around the injury. Often times people forget that we need to be STRONG to recover. The human body is amazing. It can handle a lot. If at all we give up, it is our mind that does it because our physical self is better than that.

So feel, fight... and be alive... pain or otherwise!!!
