I recently upgraded my router setup to a shaper by Harvey Woodworking! This is the 3hp HW303 shaper and does not disappoint! First of the black, red, and gold are just a thing of beauty 🤤! It literally took me a week to even make my first cut on it because I didn’t want to get it dirty lol! But as good as it looks, it’s was made to get dirty and dusty! I’m currently transitioning my business from custom furniture to custom cabinetry and one of the biggest things you need to have in order to make custom cabinetry is a shaper. The shaper is used for a number of different things, but I think I’m pretty positive that they are mostly used for cabinet door setups. Most shops have multiple shapers so that they don’t have switch profiles bits when making cabinet doors. It typically takes 3 different bits to make a raised panel door, so for right now I’ll be switching out bits every time until I buy two more shapers!
