Qayyum, seorang pesakit lelaki berusia 19 tahun, telah disahkan menghidap Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) sejak dua tahun lalu. Beliau semakin baik dalam melawan penyakit itu tetapi malangnya sel kanser itu telah berulang pada penghujung tahun 2022. Sebelum diagnosisnya, beliau terpaksa menangguhkan pengajiannya, tetapi Qayyum tidak berputus asa. Baru-baru ini, beliau berjaya melepasi SPM 2022 dengan cemerlang walaupun sudah berkali-kali menjalani rawatan di hospital.

Bapanya, Encik Saidin kini merupakan pencari nafkah tunggal keluarga yang berpendapatan tidak stabil sebagai pemotong rumput. Pada waktu malam, beliau dan isterinya terpaksa mengusahakan gerai burger bagi memastikan keperluan keluarga mencukupi untuk keesokan harinya. Setiap kali janji temu Qayyum tiba, Encik Saidin terpaksa mengambil cuti dan menutup gerai mereka. Rawatan Qayyum kebanyakannya dilakukan di Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) dan kos perjalanan amat memberi kesan kepada kewangan keluarga mereka.

Through collaborations with government agencies, healthcare institutions, corporate partners, and other non-profit organisations, MAKNA aims to create a united front against cancer and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by the disease.
