When Cardinal Wolsey’s original hat arrived in England on board a ship from the Pope in Rome, Wolsey insisted that the hat should be paraded in a grand style through London. Therefore, to mark the arrival of Cardinal Wolsey’s original hat to The Hold earlier this year, we worked with local primary schools to create a virtual hat parade – of course we couldn’t use the real hat as it’s over 500 years old so we had our trusty replica!
