“Ramu Kaka,” is more than just a name or character; it symbolizes a generation marked by values, ethics, and wisdom cultivated through patience, sensibility, and sensitivity. The poignant line “nahi rahen Ramu Kaka re” conveys the loss of this generation and the values that have gone with it. This song is an ode to that era and a heartfelt plea to cherish the treasures it offered.

The video for “Ramu Kaka” draws inspiration from an elderly man seen by Vasu in Mysore as a child, who would wear a suit, carry a walking stick, and don a Mysore Peta. There is also a deep influence from R.K. Laxman’s “The Common Man” and R.K. Narayan’s “Malgudi Days,” both of which capture simplicity and innocence while navigating life’s adversities. The entire video was shot in Mysore, a hometown that still possesses a small-town charm along with majestic old-world elegance.
