Because of climate change, the constantly growing surface of the planet is threatened by desertification. This movement has dramatically increased over the last fifty years and deserts are advancing at an alarming pace.

China with its vast land is no exception. Engulfed by sandstorms, Beijing started efforts to relieve the damage by planting trees in the desert areas of the country.
