In today's video, I will be showing you how to make smoked Texas torpedoes, and they are seriously delicious! Smoked Texas torpedoes are a new discovery I stumbled across when I buddy Brian posted ones he bought from HEB on Instagram:   / c71nnvxujma

After seeing them, I knew I had to make them, so I referred to HEBS website: https://www.heb.com/product-detail/me... for all of the ingredients. They looked amazing, but I knew I could elevate them just a bit, at least for my liking!

Below you will find my recipe, as well as what I assume to be HEB's. Both are delicious, so you can't go wrong with either one, or just making them your own by adding special twists!

I cooked these on my Lone Star Grillz pellet grill, but you're free to use any pellet smoker, pellet grill, regular smoker, or oven, if you so choose! The temps remain the same, and you can always increase them for a shorter cook time!

You have to give these Texas Torpedoes a try, they are a fantastic bbq recipe and snack! Recipe below!

Full Recipe:

Ingredients

-Pork sausage
-Jalapenos
-Cheddar cheese
-Cream cheese
-Brisket
-Tailgater's BBQ Party Rub
-Ash Kickin' BBQ Honey Chipotle Rub
-BBQ sauce

Instructions

Prep:

1. Slice the jalapeno per the video instructions, and remove seeds and veins (optional).

2. Chop the brisket

3. Mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and party rub until evenly incorperated.

4. Stuff each jalapeno with half cream cheese and half brisket.

5. Add the sausage around the jalapeno in a thin and even casing.

6. Season with Honey Chipotle rub.

Cooking

1. Set your smoker to 275º F

2. Put the Texas torpedoes on the smoker, and cook for 30 minutes

3. After 30 minutes, bump the heat up to 300º F and cook for 30 more minutes

4. After another 30 minutes (one hour cook time total) check the temperature of the sausage to determine whether it's time to sauce or continue cooking.

5. Once the sausage is cooked and the smoked Texas torpedoes are ready for sauce, drop the temp of the smoker to 250º F, and sauce them. Dropping the temp will help get more smoke on them. Let the sauce set for 5-7 minutes.

6. After the sauce has set, remove the smoked Texas toredoes from the smoker, and let them rest for 10-15 minutes.

7. After the Texas torpedoes have rested, slice, eat, and enjoy! These are so easy to make, and oh so delicious!!
