In this video we’re gonna record some drums and tryout out 6 different overhead mic placements/techniques and see what they all sound like. You’ll hear both the full kit processed audio as well as the overhead mics solo with the completely raw audio. The placements/techniques we’ll be trying out are: Spaced Pair, XY Pattern, Over the Shoulder, Horizontal Spaced Pair, Below Spaced Pair and the Glyn Johns Method.
