Headed into Alpine Lakes again for an overnight backpacking trip. I did the alpine lakes high rout which ended up being more than I really planned for. I planned for a long day but did not know this was a partially off trail route (all it would have took was 5 min on google but...) so it ended up being a bit longer than I had planned. This was an amazing hike and being off trail just added to the back country feel. Lots of scrambles and navigation, I needed to use the GPS to make sure I stayed on route and didn't end up constantly backtracking to stay on route. A really difficult hike but a great one. Enjoy.
