Tropical Storm Alberto has formed in the Gulf of Mexico, becoming the first named storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. Michael Brennan at the National Hurricane Center joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow with the latest track. Tropical Storm Alberto didn't make landfall in Texas, but continues to blast Texas with heavy rain and high wind gusts.

Where is Tropical Storm Alberto headed? The storm system is located in the western Gulf of Mexico, about 295 miles southeast of Brownsville, Texas.
